DAY 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Telouat – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Your 6-day desert journey begins with a morning departure from Marrakech at 8:00 AM. Drive across the stunning High Atlas Mountains and stop at the picturesque village of Ait Berka. Visit the historic Telouat Kasbah before continuing through the dramatic Ounila Valley to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the kasbah before continuing to Ouarzazate. Overnight in a charming hotel.
DAY 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Nkob – Tazarine – Tafraoute Sidi Ali
Leave Ouarzazate behind as you travel through the lush Draa Valley, stopping at Agdz and Nkob. After lunch in Nkob, drive along the scenic desert road flanked by acacia trees. Take an off-road route along the famous Paris-Dakar rally track to reach the village of Tafraoute Sidi Ali. Overnight in a local hotel, immersed in the serenity of the Sahara.
DAY 3: Tafraoute Sidi Ali – Ramlia – Merzouga Desert
Begin your day with a drive through Ramlia and remote desert villages. Arrive in Merzouga and mount a camel for a trek across the towering Erg Chebbi dunes. Witness the sunset before enjoying a traditional dinner and music at your desert camp. Sleep in a comfortable nomadic-style tent under the starry skies.
DAY 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After sunrise and breakfast in the desert, travel through Rissani and Erfoud to explore the Tafilalt oasis. Visit Tinghir's old Jewish quarter and continue to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. After lunch, head to Boumalne Dades to spend the night in a traditional riad.
DAY 5: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou
Depart for Ouarzazate with stops in Skoura to visit the Amredil Kasbah and a guided visit of the Taourirt Kasbah. Later, return to Ait Ben Haddou to delve deeper into its historical and cinematic legacy. Overnight in a hotel near the kasbah.
DAY 6: Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
On the final day, drive back to Marrakech across the scenic High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy panoramic views and Berber villages along the way. Arrival in Marrakech marks the end of your desert adventure.
