Tour Plan

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 AM and begin our scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Enjoy a short stop at a picturesque viewpoint for a cup of coffee or mint tea.

Later, we’ll explore the famous UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, known for its appearance in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue through Ouarzazate and the Berber villages of Skoura and Megoun before reaching the Dades Valley. Overnight stay in a traditional riad or hotel.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we’ll drive through Dades Valley and admire the rock formations known as “monkey fingers.” Our journey continues to Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorges, where you can walk between towering red canyon walls.

We’ll then head to Erfoud and Rissani for lunch, before arriving in Merzouga. Enjoy a warm welcome with mint tea before checking in for the night in a local desert inn or hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Nomads – Camel Ride & Desert Camp

Start your day with a visit to the village of Khamlia to experience traditional Gnawa music and culture. Explore the desert region, visiting nomadic families and the seasonal Merzouga Lake, known for its flamingos.

In the afternoon, saddle up for a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sun set over the sands, then enjoy dinner, music, and stargazing at your desert camp.

Day 4: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes

Rise early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before returning to Merzouga by camel. From there, we’ll begin our drive to Fes, passing through the lush Ziz Valley and volcanic rock gorges.

We’ll stop for lunch in Midelt and make a scenic break in Azrou’s cedar forests, home to wild Barbary macaques. Continue through Ifrane, Morocco’s charming “Little Switzerland,” before arriving in Fes in the evening, marking the end of your desert journey.
